adrian's tattoo
I finally made it to one of my friend Adrian's tattoo sessions; Vincent Castiglia has been doing a massive piece on his back for a while now.
Btw, Adrian is the best interior photographer in nyc, and from what I've seen, Vincent is one of the best tattoo artists, so it's a good match.

peter's books
My friend PETER SUTHERLAND recently gave copies of his new books:
DIRT LAND (GALLERY WHITE ROOM, TOKYO)
MUDDY TREADS (SEEMS BOOKS, SAN FRANCISCO)
they are both great - although I like MUDDY TREADS a little better. Peter's been publishing books like crazy, 6 or 7 so far, I'm not even sure anymore, and I think that's great, cause he's really such a good and positive guy. Great to see good things happening to good people.
On the other hand, if I know someone is a piece of shit, that really affects how I see their work. It's pretty hard to be objective once you know. You will always question that person's intentions.
ps. DASHWOOD BOOKS sells some of Peter's books + they are signed.
pps. BUCK SHOTS is still my favorite of Peter's books.

And you were wet But you had a dryer You used to speak the truth But now you're liar You used to speak the truth But now you're clever
HAPPY MONDAYS RULED THE WORLD IN THE 1990s
I wrote for luck They sent me you I sent for juice You gave me poison I order a line You form a queue Try anything hard Is there anything else you can do Well not much I know, I've been trained I can sit and stand And beg and roll over I don't read I just guess There's more than one sign But it's getting less
Steady job in a small town Guaranteed to bring me right down Guaranteed to take me nowhere Guaranteed to make me lose my hair
Hey rainmaker he got golden plans I tell you
You'll make a stranger in your own land
Hey good lady he's got God on his side he got a double
Tongue you never think he would lie

KING CORN (2007)
Another in a series of food-related movies that shows how fucked up the American diet is and how fucked up the food industry is. It's all just about making money and destroying small farms that were once the backbone of America, all at the expense of the health of the general population ... so pretty much all you have left are these HUGE farms, producing inedible corn crops that are then used for production of corn syrup, bio-fuels and cattle feed.
Really, no wonder diabetes and cancers are so common here, I'm surprised it's not worse.
Here is the PBS trailer:
