This was the first time that I traveled to Belgrade and didn't almost shoot at all ... just a couple of rolls, most of them from the car.

new CUBE

I just got the new CUBE publication. I don't really know how to define CUBE - it's the brainchild of my friend Giorgio de Mitri (who also edited and designed my BOOGIE book) - it's a beautiful book, amazing object, it comes out whenever it's ready, it contains some amazing artwork (mostly photography) by some people I highly respect, I'm damn proud to be a part of it. CUBE is not for sale, and if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one - please be sure to keep it on a high shelf.
(I'm saying this because my copies of the last issue got destroyed in the flood along with a bunch of my other books ... I was in the middle of moving and all my books were in boxes on the floor when disaster struck)

when the economy goes down

When the economy goes down, crime always goes up (no matter what the official numbers say), so a good knife might come handy ... of course, it's not just about personal protection - in many situations a knife won't help you - but it will make you feel better, more confident, and that always shows, bad guys will sense it and might find someone else to bother. Also, a knife always comes in handy - to open packages (I'm getting a lot of those), cut whatever there is to cut, I don't know, but you have to have a good knife.

I just recently got an EMERSON blade, model A-100, a true workhorse + a beautiful object. All Emerson knives are handmade and come with a lifetime warranty. They are also razor sharp straight out of the box, I shaved half of my arm demonstrating it ...

I also carry this one around as a keychain, very good little knife (also can be used as a money clip) - made by COLUMBIA RIVER KNIFE & TOOL ..... I use it pretty much every day. You start to carry it, and you'll see how you use it more and more.

I love this one too - GERBER OBSIDIAN - very good knife + it has a philips and flat head screwdrivers + a bottle opener ... Gerber knives are not that expensive and the quality is very good.

BELGRADE BELONGS TO ME, advanced copy just in

Fresh off the press ---> advanced copy of my BELGRADE BELONGS TO ME just came in, and it looks amazing. The print quality is great, tri-tone this time, my best book so far, I love it, what can I say. It's available for pre-order on the POWERHOUSE BOOKS website + all pre-orders come signed (which is a good deal considering IT'S ALL GOOD signed is 50 bucks)

The book opens with the speech that Major Dragutin Gavrilovic gave to the defenders of Belgrade in 1915 before the decisive battle against Germans, it makes my skin crawl every time I read it.

"At three o'clock sharp, the enemy must be crushed by your mighty charge, torn to pieces by your grenades and bayonets. The honour of Belgrade must be spotless. Soldiers, heroes, The Supreme Command has erased our names from its roll. Our regiment is sacrificed for our King and Fatherland. You don't have to worry anymore about your lives that no longer exist. So forward, to glory! Long live the King! Long live Belgrade!"
