boogie- i notice that almost always you use wide angle lens 35mm for b/w work. seems as though most journalist documentarian type photographers share this trait - ie. kratchovil, pellegrin, anders petersen, etc.. is the standard lens 50 mm now passe ? just curious as looking back at the history of the medium most of the iconic famous images made with that perspective. any thoughts ?
My main lens is 35mm/1.4 at the moment. It used to be 24mm, but that seems too wide now ... I was never into 50mm, although I use 50/1.2 sometimes to take pictures of my daughter.
